KURLAN NAISKOS Ancient archaeological artifact given to Picard by his mentor, noted archaeologist Richard Galen. The Naiskos, made some 12,000 years ago by a Kurlan artisan known only as the Master of Tarquin Hill, was even more prized because it contained all of the interior figurines shown here. These smaller figures represent the Kurlan belief that each person is made up of a community of individuals, each with different voices and desires. Æ
